With the start of the new tax year comes new deadlines for reporting.

Below is list of important tax dates for business owners.

August

21 – July Monthly BAS due.

28 – Taxable payments annual report for businesses in building and construction industries’ due.

June quarter SG charge statement due (if missed March due date)

September

21 – August Monthly BAS due.

October

21 – September Monthly BAS due.

Annual PAYG instalment notice

29 – September quarter superannuation guarantee contributions due.

September quarter BAS due.

September quarter PAYG due.

Q1 GST instalments (forms S &T)

November

11 – Q1 activity statements (if lodged electronically)

21 – October Monthly BAS due.

28 – September quarter SG charge statement due (if missed June due date)

December

1 –  Pay income tax for taxable large/medium taxpayers, companies and super funds.

Pay income tax for companies and super funds when lodgement of the tax return was due 31 October 2018.

21 – November Monthly BAS due.

January

15 – Lodgement due for income tax returns for companies and trusts that were medium to large taxpayers in prior year.

21 – December Monthly BAS due.

28 – December quarter SG due

February

4 – Fuel tax credit rates change

21 – January Monthly BAS due.

28 – Q2 BAS due (all lodgement types)

December quarter PAYG due.

December quarter SG charge statement due (if missed December due date)

Q2 GST instalments (forms S &T)

March

21 – February Monthly BAS due.

April

21 – March Monthly BAS due.

28 – March quarter superannuation guarantee contributions due.

March quarter PAYG due.

March quarter BAS due.

Q3 GST instalments (forms S &T)

May

12 – Q3 activity statements (if lodged electronically)

21 – April Monthly BAS due.

Pay Fringe benefits tax annual return.

June

21 – May Monthly BAS due.

30 – Super guarantee contributions must be paid by this date to qualify for a tax deduction in the 2018–19 financial year.
